CRUNKS NOT DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of people ask us about the name "Crunks Not Dead".

It has a metaphoric not literal meaning.

 Originally  it came from a song tittle from TimeZone LaFontaine.
It is a take on the classic Punk Rock anthem by THE EXPLOITED called PUNKS NOT DEAD.

The word Crunk has various meanings ranging from getting Crazy to just plain having Good Time (which is how we use the word) .

No matter what meaning people associate with the word, everyone can relate the word in some context to Hip Hop.

So the term CRUNKS NOT DEAD is symbolic of combining PUNK ROCK with HIP HOP.
and in a larger sense, combing things that might not appear to go together.

I believe this is a great name for our label, because we focus on bringing you innovative  artists who mix up genres to create new styles.  Here at CRUNKS NOT DEAD you will hear everything from Electro Punk to Riot and Blues, to Cowboy Rap, to Glam Hop and more....

One thing we all have in common is that we want to make you dance and make you think.

By providing the the most exciting, socially conscious, original, uplifting, and unique  dance music, Feminists, Anarchist, Queers, Hip Hoppers, and Dance Punks alike rely on Crunks Not Dead. for the freshest in underground music.
